answered prayer...

weeks ago... in our church... just before the end of the mass a new prayer was included and is recited ever since...
to wit...

Lord God, in You we live
and move and have our being.
Help us in our present time of trouble,
send us the rain we need,
and teach us to seek your lasting help
on the way to eternal life.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever. Amen

and for almost 2 weeks now...
it has been raining here...
not everyday though...
but a little rain is still a rain...
so yes... this is an answered prayer...

it's a little funny because before el niño my umbrella broke, and i decided not to buy new one because i won't be needing it anyway... atleast for a couple of months...

and then we pray...

i guess... it's time to buy a new umbrella now...
when someone ask what is the one thing you won't forget to pack???
for some, maybe a pen, others might be a swiss knife or a hand sanitizer or a pepper spray but for me... it's an umbrella... (which started back in college... long story...)

so...
we can always end this potential threat...
all we have to do is pray...
and especially avoid doing this...
