call me scheming or opportunist:
after my birthday i swore to watch only one movie per month...
as a partial fulfillment of my vow to poverty...
i am a rule player so i haven't missed ever since...
what's weird is that i didn't feel that i also save some money doing so...
feb. percy jackson and the lightning thief
march. alice in wonderland
april. clash of the titans
may. iron man 2/ prince of persia:the sands of time
june. (as a sign of respect to the money i spent for the second movie of the previous month)
july. sorcerer's apprentice/ inception(clearly because i thought i have to make up for the previous month) twisted i know!!!
august. step up 3d (in fact i just saw it yesterday) and i must say it's the best step up yet(if there will be more in the future) i don't know if it's the 3d technology but the story is a little more not simple, predictable but not that simple, and the dancing is amazing and unending to say the least, more than what i expected.
i always check clickthecity.com for the list of movies so i know what movie to see and what not or ignore, whatever the case maybe... (the site also has the schedules that warning: may or may not always be accurate but nevertheless helpful)
is it just me or is it true: that whenever you try so hard to save money that's when a lot of things come that needs spending...
2 weeks ago i max out my card...
so last monday when i found out that step up 3d is being shown, at first i thought there will be no way i can watch the movie until our phone broke.
according to the line man we need to replace the unit, luckily i found the cordless phone my mom bought years ago only that the battery is not charging hence, must be replaced.
call me scheming or opportunist: but that seems to be a perfect way i can watch the movie.
i told my father i will buy the battery and asked for a 500 peso bill...
which he didn't give easily...

fortunately batteries do not cost that much... ergo i saw the movie... and thank God i did!
this is just another day in the life of a struggling unemployed who has good intentions but in his own selfish ways...
for those facing similar pathetic problems... don't give up because it's true that you can only say you did everything when you succeed...
just don't lie!!
if avoidable...

buti ka pa nga... ako di na masyado nakakapanuod ng sine... hay.
